More on Green Beauty

Did you know the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) employs a hands-off approach to cosmetics: there is no harm until harm is proven. Instead of testing products before they are sold, the FDA regulates products only after they are sold. In 67 YEARS the FDA has only banned or restricted nine (9)!! Personal care ingredients.


It took the FDA 20 years to ban LEAD in paint on toys and furniture. However a recent wave of recalls of millions of children’s toys that were contaminated with excessive amounts of lead in paint shows that such bans mean very little when it comes to Mass Selling.

Food for Thought I never knew just how dangerous the products on the shelves were until I started reading. It is sad to know that if it is going to sell to the masses it doesn’t matter if it is safe of not…
